Card Affixing with Read and Print Verification

A large marketing company customer of ours came to us with a new application they needed to produce and they needed it up and running fast. They needed to produce self-mailers with paper and plastic member cards affixed to the outside of the carrier. The cards were pre-imaged and needed to match the address on the carrier. This is normally a standard solution for us but this system required card affixing, read and print matching from the bottom of the card with existing Kodak printers and a label to protect the card and six lines needed to be up and going in a short order. This required integration of multiple manufactures as well as custom equipment to provide a complete solution from feed to finished. We worked with our engineers as well as the customers engineers and were able to provide a solution that brought all the required systems together for a solution that processed all these forms accurately at speeds of to 12 to 15K per hour. The campaign was such a success that our customer has recently added four more lines to keep up with rising capacity.
